About the Mediator

My name is Robert Underwood. I have lived in Utah for over 45 years. I am married to Michelle and have 6 children and 11 grandchildren. I received a Bachelors degree in Spanish and Economics from BYU and an MBA from the University of Utah. I have taught Economics at BYU for 11 years and spent over 30 years in the business world as a financier and business consultant. I received my training in mediation for both the basic mediation and advance domestic mediation from Utah Dispute Resolution and the Domestic Mentorship from Innovative Training Solutions. I have done mediation in both small claims court and divorce cases here in Utah. I have a broad background in life’s experiences and a good sense of what is fair. My desire is to help people get through, what I feel, is one of the most stressful experiences in life. Experience has taught me that mediation is one of the best ways to accomplish this goal.
